Cataclysm

This java applet simulates colliding (or rather, "interacting") galaxies. The main point is to show the development of a structure similar to the antennae.

Instructions are given below. If it doesn't work you may need to update your Java plugin.

There's not much you can do except sit back and watch. Switch some views off to make it run faster. Zoom views in for a closer look. The original plan was to add some controls to adjust the galaxies initial mass and velocity too.
